There were also more salaries reported for technology companies, which reported 6.5 per cent increases, to €3.3bn.
The largest increase in salaries was reported for Google, which saw its annual salary increase to €8.9m.
There was a 3.2 per cent decrease in salaries for Facebook, which was reported to be paying €1.4m less.
Facebook said it will increase its salary for the year from €6.9million to €7.9 million, while Google has said it would increase its annual pay to €13m.
Google is also looking to bring its workforce up to a level where it can afford to pay people at a more sustainable rate.
The company is also expected to announce a “new” salary cap in the coming months.
