Social Security, or Social Security disability, is the federal government’s retirement benefit for people with disabilities.
The Social Security Administration collects data on disability, and provides monthly disability disability benefits, to about 8 million people who receive benefits under the program.
Social Security disability benefit statistics can be found at www.ssa.gov/benefits/statistics/social-security-benefits.pdf, and the Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI) calculator at www,sssi.gov.
Social Security also provides an index to help you compare the scores of people with disability, which you can find at www-scorer.sssa, or in the Social Services Administration’s Disability Portal.
