SANTA CRUZ, Calif.
— A Santa Cruz man has been arrested after authorities say he allegedly stole more than $2 million from several businesses in the San Jose area.
The Santa Cruz County District Attorney’s Office said Friday that the 35-year-old man was arrested at a home in the 2200 block of North Avenue in Santa Cruz and booked into Santa Clara County Jail.
He was charged with conspiracy to commit wire fraud, felony credit card theft, credit card fraud, identity theft, identity fraud, money laundering and identity theft.
Investigators say he was involved in at least four cases involving credit cards, cash, checks, bank account statements, online transactions and other financial transactions that occurred between 2013 and 2015.
The crimes allegedly involved stolen identities, stolen identity documents and other unauthorized activities.
